The functions and duties of CESD are:
Scientific research and technology development
- To carry out the researching and the implementation of scientific and technological topics and projects; environmental protection and social development;
- To research, manufacture and distribute of environmentally-friendly products
Consulting and Services
- To prepare the report of: strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment, environmental protection plan, environmental protection project, environmental monitoring and monitoring for plannings, programs, projects ;
- To conduct the social impact assessments for programs and projects;
- To formulate projects on exploitation and use of natural resources and environmental treatment;
- To install renewable energy development systems, environmental treatment systems;
Training and coaching
- Organize training courses on science and technology, environmental protection and social development;
Cooperation in science and technology
- To cooperate with domestic and international organizations and individuals according to functions and duties.
